GETTING STARTED

Meet your
new workbench.

Lathe brings hardware design into one native Mac workspace. Start with a conversation, then inspect and refine the details.

The public Mac installer is coming soon. Check download availability →

Your first project

  1. Sign in. Use Apple or Google with the same account you use on the website.
  2. Create a project. Give it a name and choose a local save location.
  3. Describe the idea. Start with what it should do and any constraints you know.
  4. Inspect the result. Open the assembly, schematic, or firmware alongside the conversation.
  5. Review and refine. Inspect proposed changes before applying them. Save your project as you go.

The Desktop Assistant example provides a starting project with an enclosure, electronics, and firmware.

The workspace

Assembly

Inspect the 3D model, orbit and zoom, and edit supported enclosure dimensions.

Schematic

Inspect symbols and electrical connections. Move symbols while keeping their nets attached.

PCB

Explore component placement and unrouted connections.

Firmware

Read and edit source files in the project.

Parts & Build

Review the parts list, supported checks, build steps, and available exports.

Know what’s ready.

Lathe is in development. The current workspace includes an offline demo assistant; live AI availability will be announced with the public release.

PCB routing and Gerber export are not supported yet. Firmware is not compiled or flashed in the app. Geometry and clearance checks should be reviewed before fabrication.

Signed-in accounts show recorded live AI requests from the Mac app. Pricing and plan limits remain previews until published before purchases.
